JBL On Stage 400P high-performance sound center is controllable by remote, up to 15 ft. away. Connected to your iPod/iPhone, MP3  
player or any other music source with an audio jack, the system produces clean, powerful sound. Take complete control of your music  
and videos with the JBL On Stage 400P speaker dock.  
COMPATIBILITY  
The JBL On Stage 400P system is compatible with all docking versions of the iPod/iPhone. A stereo mini jack connection also  
allows you to enjoy high-quality audio from a variety of other devices, such as iPod shuffle, MP3 and CD players, desktop computers  
(all platforms), satellite radio and laptops.  
REMOTE  
Just a touch of the Volume controls increases or decreases the volume. Using the Navigation controls, browse songs and photos,  
change tracks and settings, and more. With the JBL On Stage 400P remote, you have complete control of your iPod/iPhone, as though  
it were in your hand.  
EVERCHARGE TOPOLOGY  
The unit charges your iPod/iPhone, even when not connected to the computer or when the system is off.  
COMPACT DESIGN  
The JBL On Stage 400P loudspeaker dock is a complete 2.1-channel audio system, in one easy-to-place footprint.  
DIGITAL POWER AND DSP

UNPACKING YOUR JBL ON STAGE 400P  
Carefully unpack your speaker system and identify all its components:

QUICK SETUP INSTRUCTIONS  
Plug the barrel end of the power supply cord into the power jack and plug the other end into the wall.  
Next,, pushh tthe powwer swwitch; a greeen LEEDD will llightt up, inndicaatting tthhat the unitt is poowwered.  
Find the coorrect adapter for your iPod/iPhone, then firmly place it iinto the ddoocking areea shown.  
Next, pplace yyoour iPodd/iPhone into the dock, making sure your iPod/iPhone is firmly seated.  
Adjusst the voolume,, usingg ((+) to inncreasse and ((–) too ddecreaase. Prress booth to muute thee JBL Onn Stagee 400P unit.  
Press eiither bbuttoonn to unmute.

Make sure the wall power outlet or power  
strip has power. Make sure all switches for  
the outlet/power strip are on and that all  
switches for the speaker system are on.  
Is the LED on? If not,  
power is not getting  
to your JBL On Stage  
400P system; try the  
solutions shown.

iPhone. Connect the Auxiliary Port cable to  
the headphone jack on your iPod/iPhone.

Turn monitor off to see whether noise is  
eliminated. Move JBL On Stage 400P unit’s  
cables farther away from monitor.  
Too much bass  
or treble.  
JBL On Stage 400P is being  
overdriven by an amplified  
audio source.  
Make sure that the JBL On Stage 400P  
unit is connected to an appropriate source  
device.
